What is Easibuildcommenly known as BIAB?The BIAB Gel product is short for 'Builder in a bottle', it is a fabulous strength-based product to help grow your natural nails. This product can be infilled much like acrylic products, but many people don't want to jump to acrylic, this is a perfect option to start your natural nail length. We use Easibuild from Pure Nails Halo Builder range.
-
How long do nail enhancements last?Either Acrylic or Easibuild enhancements can last between 2-3 weeks before needing an infill. Gel Polish should last up to 2 weeks without chipping. All nail enhancements will last well with proper aftercare and maintenance. Please note if enhancements are picked at or ripped off this can cause damage to the natural nail. We advise good aftercare and professional removal.
-
What nail treatments do you offer? We offer Gel polish Dry manicures/pedicures, Easibuild Gel strength overlays and extensions, Acrylic extensions/overlays, and French dry manicures/pedicures. Full range of nail art.
-
How should I look after and care for my nails? All nail enhancements are not indestructible and can chip or break if not looked after. When doing household chores or gardening wearing gloves is advisable. Do not pick at your nail enhancement, Do not use them as tools. Refrain from filing or cutting your extensions with nail clippers, this can damage the natural nails and allow water to get in on the free edge, which could cause bacterial growth and infections. Apply cuticle nail oil daily. If you have long nails try to avoid lifting heavy objects and be careful with car doors we often find these are the biggest culprits for losing or breaking nails.
-
What is an infill and when should I have this done?An infill is when the natural part of your nail growth from the cuticle starts to show, you will then need this area infilled to keep up the strength of your extension. This is the same for both Acrylic and Easibuild nail enhancements. We advise between 2-3 weeks for an infill for both enhancements, longer than this can cause nail lifting and weakening of the structure of the nail enhancement.

How long does a waxing last? The most commonly asked question and it does depend on each individual and how fast your hair grows. Generally, you can expect it to last between 4-6 weeks or until you're ready for your next wax. With regular waxing, most clients find that their regrown hair becomes thinner and finer after time.
-
How do I prepare for my waxing treatment? The best way to prepare for your wax is the night before, have a lovely warm bath and exfoliate the area, this removes any dead skin cells and will make the process much easier. If you are concerned about the pain, if you wish you can take some painkillers such as paracetamol and appropriate for yourself around half an hour before your treatment. (Please note we are not doctors or medically trained, please do not take any medication you have not taken before or are safe to do so).
-
Does waxing hurt?Again the answer to this does vary slightly. There's no escaping the fact that waxing hurts, especially your first bikini wax and the waxing may be accompanied by a smarting, stinging feeling. We have found that many of our clients have said our waxing technique is less painful than others. After a time the hairs may become thinner and more sparse therefore may hurt less. We use an after-wax treatment to soothe all waxed areas.

What should I do before my tan to prepare? Here is our 4 step preparation points to achieve the best results for your spray tan. Step 1 : If you wax, shave or epilate please do so at least 24-48hrs before your spray tan, this gives the pores time to close, over otherwise you're tan can sit in the pores and may look speckled. Step 2: Make sure your skin is gently exfoliated beforehand. The best time for this is the morning of your tan or the night before. A light scrub or exfoliating glove works best. We have them to purchase in the salon. Step 3: On the day of your tan please make sure your skin is freshly cleaned from any make-up, creams, moisturiser and deodorants as this can interfere with the tan solution. It is best to not use facial wipes or baby wipes to remove make-up as this can leave a residue on the skin and can interfere with the tan solutions. Step 4: Make sure you are wearing comfortable/loose clothing to your appointment and underwear you are happy to wear throughout your spray tan (paper underwear can be provided). Please also remove all jewellery.
-
When is best to have my spray tan?Application time does vary for specific personal results, but we suggest at least 1 or 2 days before the event you would like your tan for. We do have a Rapid tan solution which can achieve light tanning results in as fast as 1hr. If in doubt do not hesitate to get in contact and ask for when to book.
-
What do I do after my tan? Here is our 4 steps to getting the best out of your tan; Step 1: Make sure you do not wash your tan off before at least 8hrs development time, after your application unless you have had the rapid tan applied. Do not get wet within this time or use a sauna or steam room. Avoid using antibacterial hand gels, this can strip the tan from your hands. Step 2: Make sure you do not wear tight clothing around your ankles or wrists this can cause rubbing in the areas. Be careful when going to the bathroom and washing your hands this can wash off the tan before it development time. Step 3: Once the correct amount of time has passed, preferably overnight for a standard tan, wash off the lead colour in a cool shower, to reveal your gorgeous golden glow. You will now be able to apply deodorants, creams make-up etc... Step 4: To prolong your tan keep moisturised and avoid long hot baths and showers.
